Southern Barossa & Tanunda – 20 Minutes

After our friendly staff take your photo standing next to the helicopter (with YOUR camera), you will then be guided to your seat and helped to get strapped in. Once you have your seat belt on, are comfortable and have your personal head set ready to put on, your pilot will then start the helicopter for a ride of your life.

Lifting off from the helipad your pilot will guide you on a flight that will take you over Hoffnungsthal (one of the first German settlement sites in the Barossa Valley) and on to the Barossa Valley’s most southern town – Lyndoch. Your pilot will point out the wineries on the left side of the aircraft.

We then take you to the western boundary of the Barossa. Flying towards Seppeltsfield (the oldest winery in Australia) and Marananga, past Maggie Beer’s Farm shop over Tanunda and the Jacobs Creek where you will be able to see the creek the famous wine was named after! After seeing a few wineries and the stunning views, you will then be taken back over the town of Lyndoch to the Whispering Wall, if you have not heard of or visited this fantastic man made feature – your pilot will tell you all about it!

Once you have taken a photo or two of the wall, we will then have the town of Williamstown pass on our right on our way back to our Hoffnungsthal Valley base.
