True Grit 2026 brought adrenaline, excitement, and plenty of mud to the Barossa for an unforgettable weekend of action and adventure. Despite the wet weather rolling through, competitors embraced the conditions, with the rain only adding to the challenge — and creating even more mud for participants to crawl, climb, and charge through.

The event atmosphere was electric from start to finish, with food vans, live music, bar facilities and plenty of fun keeping both competitors and spectators entertained throughout the weekend. Scenic helicopter flights were also available, giving visitors a unique bird’s-eye view of the massive obstacle course and the beautiful Barossa landscape surrounding the event.

Social media has since been flooded with positive feedback, with many attendees sharing how much they loved the atmosphere, organisation, and challenging course. For the first time hosting the event in the Barossa, True Grit proved to be an incredible success and a fantastic addition to the region’s growing calendar of major events.
